Another thing that I am really geeky about is vampires, particularly tv shows. My all time favourite of course would have to be Buffy the Vampire Slayer. More recently I've been getting into True Blood and Vampire Diaries. Currently 5 eps into season 2 of Vampires Diaries and loving it! Its very addictive. Glad I got into it on DVD tho so I don't have to wait between episodes.
I also really love Vampire novels as well. I have every Buffy novel they made (about 80 odd), as well as all the Angel ones and yes, I even have my own full set of Twilight novels (stop mocking and get over it if you don't like it!). I've also got a few other random ones like "Boys That Bite" and the first 3 Vampire Academy books which I still have yet to read. Naturally I have all the Sookie Stackhouse novels and I also just picked up the first Vampire Diaries book so I'll prob be getting into those really soon.
Ok, so since it's Speak Out With Your Geek Out week I'm gonna be brutally honest here. I like Twilight. I am a fan. I do not identify with the whole "Twi-hard" label or concept especially because of all the bad connotations it has attached to it. I also don't feel I fit there as I am not the stereotypical teenage fangirl. Do I squeal hysterically whenever Edward Cullen gets mentioned? No. Do I have to know every single ridiculous minute detail of Robert Pattinson's life? No. Do I recognise that the whole story and characters are highly flawed and not of supreme quality? Absolutely.

Have You Met Ted?
Have You Met Ted? is the podcast I started making this year over at Geekshow Entertainment. I've been quite geeky about podcasts, particularly the ones for that site, for a few years now, but this year I got to try it myself. And let me tell you, I've learnt a lot so far!
Things I've learnt:
Things I've learnt:
- The best headset microphone positioning so I don't spit into it and create harsh sounds
- How to talk on one subject for at least 30 mins with noone else in the room actually listening to me
- How to record and edit audio using proper software
- Sometimes the audio will not sound perfect no matter how I try - and that that's ok!
- It's better to freeze in winter than put the heater on and have the buzzing add to the background noise of my recording
- New levels of procrastination
- How to record with other podcasters - and just how awesome those people are!
- I really am just a big geek
- How I Met Your Mother will go down as one of my all time favourite tv shows!

Movie day!
One thing that I love to do that I am geeky about is go to the cinemas...a lot. Since I had the day relatively to myself today and it was the cheap day at the cinemas I decided to treat myself to a double feature.
On today's docket was Friends With Benefits and then Cowboys and Aliens. I thoroughly enjoyed both movies, although have to admit I started micro-sleeping a little towards the end of C&A. I think is prodominantly due to the fact that the movies were only about 25 mins apart and I didn't have quite as much time as I would have liked to have a good walk around, stretch and break before heading into the cinema again...into the same number theatre...in the exact same seat (although I didn't sit in my assigned seat in the first movie as my view was blocked - allocated seating be damned!).
